Waste Express, Inc. is the owner and operator of our Part B TSDF located in Kansas City, MO. The facility is currently operating in interim status while it is under permit renewal to significantly increase storage, add waste codes, add a tank farm area and add additional processes.
Approximately 1.4 acres with 6 additional lots to be further developed. 16 employees with 1 dock and 460 drums of permitted storage. Waste Espress offers segregated storage for acids, bases, flammables, oxidizers and toxics with an outdoor non-regulated storage area.
The updated permit extensively adds an additional storage/process building which will increase the permitted storage from 460 drums to over 4,600 drums. In addition this permit will allow Waste Express to accept every EPA waste code and will permit a tank farm and allow for aerosol and paint can processing.
Primarily a "bucket to drum" facility of de-packing lab packs and bulking all types of hazardous waste.
One of our significant services has been a manifest clearing house. Waste Express is able to handle 100-200 manifests of waste per semi-truck load. Most large processing TSDF's are set up to take 1 or a few manifests per truck load or it causes havoc in receiving. However, our initial experience with a large governmental contract allowed us to add diverse retail waste streams. As a result, we are an ideal place to terminate hundreds of manifests. This allows Waste Express to then consolidate the material into large bulk loads that are easier for larger, less flexible TSDF's to process.
